The Blue Planet is a series of BBC nature documentary narrated by David Attenborough, first broadcast in the UK from 12 September 2001. Described as “the first complete series on the natural history of the oceans around the world,” each of the eight 50 minutes episode explores a different aspect of marine life. Underwater Photography including creatures and behaviors that previously had never been filmed. The series has won several Emmys and BAFTA television awards for his music and cinematography. The series was produced in partnership with Discovery Channel. Executive producer was Alastair Fothergill and the music is composed by George Fenton. David Attenborough narrated the series before the presentation of the following in his “Life” series of programs, life mammals and the same production team created the planet earth.
